Mineral Resources, a leading mining services company based in Australia, reported that its iron ore output totaled 4.9 million tons in the first quarter of 2022 (the third quarter of the 2022 fiscal year), declining by 12% compared to the previous quarter while rising by 22% from the same period a year ago.

During the period, the shipment of iron ore amounted to 4.7 million tons, down by 5% quarter on quarter and up by 22% year on year.

Due to an increase in the output at the Utah Point Hub iron ore mine, it was still hopeful for iron ore exports to reach 18.5-19.5 million tons in the 2022 fiscal year.
