In July, the price of cold-rolled coil (CRC) in China market extended the decline from June. However, the market expected demand to improve in August. Coupled with bullish government policies, local traders were optimistic about future demand.
According to statistics, as of the end of July, the capacity utilization of China’s 29 CRC steel mills was 82.96%, a month-on-month increase of 1.19%.
At present, it was estimated that the order received in August should be able to fill the capacity.
In terms of exports, China suppliers said that the orders received now were not as expected. The CRC price in August was expected to rebound in shock, and the mills' orders received were sluggish, so the future trend remains to be seen.
