NMDC Limited, an Indian state-owned mining company, achieved its iron ore production of 2.05 million tons in July, dropping by 20% compared to the preceding month and by 33% from the same month a year earlier. The figure hit the lowest since September 2020.
During the period, the sales volume reached 2.95 million tons, up by 55% month on month while falling by 10% year on year.
The company aimed to produce 46 million tons to 47 million tons of iron ore in the current fiscal year ending March 31, compared with 42 million tons in the previous fiscal year.
