BHP Group, the world’s biggest miner, indicated that it would plan to increase the production of its top-earning iron ore business to 330 billion tons annually. Also, it would keep assessing to increase the output of copper and nickel.
Apart from that, BHP’s new potash mine in Canada was expected to be put into operation in 2026.
In the fiscal year ending June 30, BHP’s total underlying earnings were US$23.8 billion, higher than the forecast of US$21.6 billion.
