Baotou Steel, an iron and steel state-owned enterprise in Inner Mongolia, reported that its operating revenue totaled RMB 41.1 billion in the first half of this year, rising by 4.13% compared to the same period a year ago. However, the net profit during the period was down by 84.8% year on year to RMB 420 million.
In the given period, Baotou Steel’s crude steel production was around 7.8 million tons, down by 0.4% year on year. The output of pig iron and finished steel amounted to approximately 7.1 million tons and 7.4 million tons, falling by 1.2% and rising by 0.12% year on year, separately.
