Recently, China’s authorities released the import and export data of copper recyclable products in September.
China’s export volume of copper recyclable products reached about 67,000 tons in September, with a 5% monthly increase; the import volume was about 2.95 million tons, with a 1% monthly increase.
According to statistics, the finished steel plates accounted for 67% of the total export volume to around 45,000 tons. Semi-finished steel accounted for 21% to 14,000 tons, and the finished steel long products accounted for 12% to about 8,000 tons.
China’s imports of copper ore mainly came from Chile, Peru, and Congo, with about 806,000 tons, 683,000 tons, and 125,000 tons, respectively.
