In the first ten months of this year, China’s steel exports decreased by 2% year on year to 56.2 million tons. The decreasing reason might be increasing inflation, hiking energy prices, and declining demand from Western countries.

At the same time. China’s steel exports to Southeast Asia were 16.7 million tons, slightly decreasing by 0.6% from the same period a year ago. The exports to the East Asian market dropped by 19% year on year, but the European market hiked by 35% year on year. Meanwhile, Central and South America imported China’s steel with 5.8 million tons, falling by 29% year on year.
