According to statistics from the World Steel Association (worldsteel), global crude steel production totaled around 139 million tons in November this year, falling by 2.6% compared to the year-ago level.
Among them, Asia's crude steel production reached 101.4 million tons, up by 2.7% year on year, of which China's output accounted for 74.5 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%. The crude steel production from 27 EU countries was 10.5 million tons, sliding by nearly 18% year on year.
Meanwhile, North American crude steel output was 8.9 million tons, down by 6.3% year on year; South American output was 3.4 million tons, falling by 14.3% year on year. Crude steel production in Africa was down by 11.4% year on year to 1.3 million tons, and the output in the Middle East grew by 11.6% year on year to 4 million tons.
In the first 11 months of this year, global crude steel production fell by 3.7% year on year to 1.69 billion tons.
