EUROFER predicts 2.7% increase in automobile output in Europe in 2022

Due to a broken supply chain and a shortage of semiconductors, European automobile manufacturers have to lower or suspend production in 2022.

The European economy is stuck in high inflation and high energy cost. The conflict between Ukraine and Russia brings uncertainties as well. All these make consumers tighten their consumption. All demands become weak.

Even though, the output of automobiles in European in the third quarter of 2022 increased by 20.7% year on year. The European Steel Association (EUROFER) predicted a total increase of 2.7% year on year in 2022 and the economic increase will be 1.1% in 2023 if the environment is keep improved.

However, considering the uncertain outside elements, automobile output will still be lower than that before the epidemic.
