Austrian steelmaker voestalpine reported that its profit after tax was EUR 864 million in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2022-23, rising by 23.8% compared to the year-ago level. The profit before tax was EUR 1.1 billion, compared to EUR 901 million in the same period a year ago.

In the first three quarters, the revenues of the company hiked by 29.5% year on year to EUR 13.6 billion, and the EBITDA was up by 26.7% year on year to EUR 1.9 billion.

voestalpine said that the performance was good in the energy, solar, and aerospace industries in the first nine months of the fiscal year 2022-23, and the international demand is continuing to grow.

voestalpine expected EBITDA for the entire fiscal year 2022-23 to be approximately EUR 2.5 billion.
