According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 17,800 tons of steel coils in December last year, decreasing by 39% compared to the previous month and by 63% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 8,800 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 50.4% and a year-on-year drop of 73%. Canada ranked second with around 8,800 tons, and the exports to other countries were not so many.
The export value was approximately US$39 million during the period, down by 39.7% month on month and by 63% year on year.
