The UK’s Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) announced the launch of a transition review of the anti-dumping (AD) measure on steel ropes and cables originating in China, including those consigned from Morocco and South Korea, to determine whether the AD measure from the EU will continue to be implemented in the UK and whether to adjust the duty rate.

The period of investigation was from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022, and the injury assessment period was from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2022.

The products involved are steel ropes and cables including locked coil ropes, excluding ropes and cables of stainless steel, with a maximum cross-sectional dimension exceeding 3mm, classified under HS codes 7312108112, 7312108113, 7312108119, 7312108312, 7312108313, 7312108319, 7312108512, 7312108513, 7312108519, 7312108912, 7312108913, 7312108919, 7312109812, 7312109813, and 7312109819.
