According to the final results of countervailing duty (CVD) administrative review on certain cold-rolled steel flat products from South Korea, the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) determined that Hyundai Steel and POSCO received de minimis net countervailable subsidies during the period of review from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020, at 0.27% and 0.20%, respectively. Other producers/exporters of subject goods received countervailable subsidies during the period of review, and the subsidy rate was set at 1.93%.
Meanwhile, the USDOC timely rescinded the administrative review on some companies, including KG Dongbu Steel and Dongkuk Steel.
