In June, China’s cold-rolled steel product prices slightly maintained the high side. Regarding supply, the production of cold-rolled flat-rolled products rebounded, and the capacity utilization was around 82%.
Meanwhile, because steel prices increased in June, parts of China’s steel mills, previously under examination or production cuts, started to resume their production.
In terms of inventories, because consumption of inventories continued in the first half of June, replenished inventories began in the second half.
For the outlook in July, the supply might maintain a high level, and the demand would slightly improve. With growing raw material prices, steel prices can be supported by cost. Meanwhile, the stimulated policies were expected to be further implemented. As a result, market participants foresaw the cold-rolled steel products in July might periodically go up.
