According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 82,600 tons of hot-rolled coils (HRC) in July this year, decreasing by 14% compared to the previous month and rising by 55% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 60,600 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 18.9% and a year-on-year hike of 59.1%. Canada ranked second with around 21,700 tons, and the exports to other countries were less than 1,000 tons.

During the period, the export value was roughly US$90 million, down by 14% month on month and up by 79% year on year.
