According to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of China, China produced around 18 million tons of hot-rolled coil (HRC) this August, rising by 33.2% compared to the same month a year ago. The output of cold-rolled coil (CRC) was around 3.5 million tons during the period, a year-on-year hike of 21%.
In the first eight months of this year, China’s HRC output amounted to approximately 135.8 million tons, increasing by 12% year on year. The production of CRC in the given period was up by nearly 2% year on year to 24.8 million tons.
