According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 36,000 tons of steel coils in August this year, decreasing by 7% compared to the previous month and rising by 16% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 22,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 1% and a year-on-year drop of 32.6%. Canada ranked second with around 13,400 tons, and the exports to other countries were not so many.
The export value was approximately US$39 million during the period, down by 9.9% month on month and by 12.7% year on year.
