According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending November 18, the production of US’ crude steel totaled 1.696 million short tons, slightly growing by 0.8% from the same period a week ago and rising by 6.4% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 73.8%, up by 0.6% week on week and by 2.3% year on year.

As of the week ending November 18, the adjusted year-to-date production of US’ crude steel has amounted to around 78.7 million short tons, a year-on-year drop of 0.4%. The capacity utilization rate was 75.7%, a year-on-year reduction of 2.4%.
