According to data from Canacero, Mexico's steel industry association, in November of 2023, Mexico's finished steel product imports totaled about 1 million tons, hiking by 31.9% year on year.

Among them, the US was the main import source, with 319,000 tons, increasing by 7% year on year. The followings were South Korea (about 167,000 tons), Japan (about 124,000 tons), and China (about 102,000 tons),

During the same period, the exports amounted to about 255,000 tons, decreasing by 25.2% compared to the same month a year ago. The US accounted for the largest proportion of Mexico's total exports, totaling 203,000 tons, a decrease of 16.8% year on year.
