According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 28,200 tons of steel coils in December last year, slightly increasing by 0.7% compared to the previous month and up by 32% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 22,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 16.3% and a year-on-year surge of 148%. Canada ranked second with around 6,100 tons, and the exports to other countries were not so many.
The export value was approximately US$29 million during the period, up by 3.5% month on month and by 57% year on year.
