According to data from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending on March 9, the US’ production of crude steel was around 1.73 million net tons, increasing by 1% week on week and by 0.9% year on year, respectively.

During the period, the capacity utilization rate was 78.1%, a week-on-week increase of 0.8% and a year-on-year growth of 1.2%.

As of March 9, the adjusted year-to-date output of the US’ crude steel was around 16.59 million net tons, decreasing by 3.3% year on year. In terms of the capacity utilization rate, it was 75.8%, decreasing by 1.9% year on year.
