In February, China’s stainless steel imports were about 222,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 4.55% but a year-on-year increase of 18.78%. Among them, the imports from Indonesia were about 202,000 tons, decreasing by 3% from the previous month and hiking by 35.1% compared to the same month a year ago.
On the contrary, China’s stainless steel exports were about 258,000 tons, dropping by 38.08% month on month but slightly growing by 2.12% year on year.
In the first two months of this year, China’s stainless steel imports totaled about 456,000 tons, hiking by 34.89% year on year. Meanwhile, the exports were 675,000 tons, growing by 9.32% from the corresponding period a year ago.
