Outokumpu, a leading provider of sustainable stainless steel, has forged a partnership with Tetra Pak, a renowned food processing and packaging solutions company. The collaboration will see the integration of Outokumpu Circle Green®, boasting a carbon footprint up to 93% lower than the industry average, into Tetra Pak’s homogenizers. Starting in June 2024, this low-emission stainless steel option will be available for all models of Tetra Pak’s homogenizer line in Europe.
This strategic alliance not only kickstarts a partnership to explore further applications of Circle Green across Tetra Pak’s equipment portfolio but also underscores the commitment to align food and beverage manufacturers with the EU’s Green Deal.
Niklas Wass, Executive Vice President for Stainless Europe at Outokumpu, emphasized the pivotal role of sustainable stainless steel in the transition towards low-emission solutions. The collaboration aims to deliver more sustainable solutions that facilitate decarbonization across the value chain, marking another concrete step towards a greener future.
