According to statistics from the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan’s shipment of cold-rolled sheets and strips totaled around 429,000 tons in July, hiking by 23% compared to the previous month and by 5% from the year-ago level.

Among them, around 48% of them were shipped to the domestic market, and the residual was sent to export markets.

During the same period, Japan’s production of cold-rolled sheets and strips totaled roughly 409,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 13% and a year-on-year drop of 1%.
