According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending November 30, 2024, the production of US’ raw steel totaled 1.638 million net tons, decreasing by 1.0% from the same period a week ago and dropping by 2.9% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 73.8%, down by 0.7% week on week and up by 0.4% year on year.

As of the week ending November 30, 2024, the adjusted year-to-date production of US’ raw steel has amounted to 80.517 million short tons, sliding by 2.3% compared to the prior-year level. The capacity utilization rate was 75.8%, down by 0.3% year on year.
