Vietnam's decision to lift anti-dumping (AD) duties on cold-rolled stainless steel from Taiwan, China, Malaysia, and Indonesia in late October 2024 has significantly boosted trade. In November, Taiwan's stainless steel exports to Vietnam rose by 39% month on month, reaching around 2,700 tons. From January to November, Taiwan exported around 22,000 tons, accounting for 2.17% of its total exports.

China saw similar growth, exporting approximately 51,000 tons of stainless steel to Vietnam in November, a 23% month-on-month increase and an 81% year-on-year rise. Vietnam became China's largest export market for stainless steel in November, highlighting the immediate impact of the duty removal on regional trade dynamics.
