On February 10, 2025, the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) made preliminary determinations that countervailable subsidies were being provided to Vietnam’s producers and exporters of certain corrosion-resistant steel products during the period of investigation from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023.

The preliminary countervailable subsidy rate assigned to Vietnam’s companies ranges from 0% to 140.05%, of which the all-other rate is 46.73%.

The USDOC is aligning the final CVD determination with the less-than-fair-value (LTFV) investigation on the subject products from Vietnam, per the petitioners' request. Both final determinations are set for June 17, 2025, unless postponed.
