Now, brand new solar street lights illuminate the road, which not only solves the problems of difficulty and insecurity in villagers' travel at night, but also drives the development of Guangen Village's night economy.

The smooth commissioning of Guangen Village's solar street lights is inseparable from the active suggestions and advice of the district's people's congress representatives. Since the beginning of this year, the Nanjiang Street People's Congress Working Committee and the Agriculture and Rural Bureau have organized technical personnel to conduct public opinion surveys in Guangen Village. They learned that some roads in the village lack street lighting at night, especially during the busy farming season and during the New Year holidays. There are great safety hazards for villagers who go out early and return late, and they hope that the government will solve them as soon as possible. After learning about the urgent demands of the villagers, the People's Congress Liaison Station of Guangen Village immediately formed opinions and suggestions and submitted them to the People's Congress Working Committee of Nanjiang Street for study. It is reported that the low-carbon demonstration village project in Guangen Village, Nanjiang Street, obtained a subsidy of 100,000 yuan from the autonomous region. It took only 3 days from the start of construction to completion, and a total of 55 solar street lights were installed. The implementation of the project can save the village about 4,000 yuan in electricity bills each year, benefiting more than 3,200 villagers, and the villagers have a high rate of praise and enthusiastic response.

The installation of convenient solar street lights in Guangen Village is just a microcosm of the many livelihood projects in the district. In recent years, Yuzhou District has taken solving the "urgent, difficult, and anxious" problems of the masses as the starting point, giving full play to the supervisory role of the people's congress representatives in performing their duties, implementing practical projects for the people, and fighting a long-term battle to improve people's livelihood.
