Educational lighting equipment is one of the common equipment in school procurement. In recent years, in order to protect the eyesight of young people, the classroom lighting renovation of compulsory education schools has become one of the school infrastructure construction projects. According to the data collected nationwide by the Education Equipment Procurement Network, 36 school lighting procurement projects were implemented in May 2024, and 4 million-level procurement projects were implemented, among which the procurement share in the basic education sector led.

From the perspective of the implementation of projects in various education fields, school lighting procurement in May 2024 was mainly based on projects in the basic education field. There were 21 projects implemented in this field that month, accounting for 58% of the total, and 2 million-level procurement projects were implemented; 11 projects were implemented in the higher education field, accounting for 31% of the total, and 1 million-level procurement project was implemented; 4 projects were implemented in the vocational education field.

From the perspective of the procurement content of the implemented projects, lighting procurement in the basic education field is mostly used for classroom light environment transformation, and lighting procurement in the higher education and vocational education fields is used in laboratories, multimedia classrooms, campus construction and other scenarios. Most of the million-level procurement projects in that month were within 5 million yuan, among which the project with the largest investment was "Lighting Project Renovation of Primary and Secondary Schools in Fangchenggang City, Fangchenggang District", with a winning bid of 2.21 million yuan.

From the perspective of regional project implementation, 18 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions had school lighting procurement projects implemented in May 2024, with Fujian and Guangxi leading in the number of projects implemented.
