As night falls, street lights on the streets and alleys light up the "Huangjiang nightlife", but some roads and corners are still immersed in darkness, posing certain safety hazards. Recently, Huangjiang Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, actively carried out the investigation and rectification of the "dark areas" of urban road lighting, timely eliminated the hidden dangers of "dark areas", and effectively ensured the safety of vehicles and pedestrians at night.

The imperfect street lighting facilities on Qinglong Road in Huangjiang Town have always been a "difficult and anxious" problem for the surrounding people. The masses have repeatedly reflected: "Walking on this road at night, the road lighting is insufficient, and accidents are easy to happen, especially in the recent typhoons and rainstorms. The road conditions are not clear, and traveling is a bit scary."
In order to respond to the needs of the masses, better eliminate the "dark areas" in the city, and improve the safety of night traffic, the Huangjiang Urban Management Branch organized an expert group to conduct field inspections and surveys, and according to the actual situation of the road, selected solar street lights as the lighting street lights for this section of the road to ensure that they can save energy and be green and environmentally friendly during use.
Subsequently, the branch quickly formulated a street light installation plan and actively communicated and coordinated with various functional departments to ensure the smooth progress of the project. Now, 193 double-headed solar street lights have been installed on both sides of the 5-kilometer Qinglong Road. The entire road is brightly lit, and the night lighting problem has been effectively solved.
In addition to installing new street lights, in order to prevent extreme weather from causing safety hazards to the operation of urban lighting facilities, the branch has increased the inspection and maintenance of various lighting facilities in the town, especially the inspection and rectification of densely populated areas such as schools, communities and town centers, and concentrated on pruning trees that seriously block street lights. Since the beginning of this year, the branch has repaired and replaced 168 street lights and pruned more than 230 trees that block street lights.
