Wuzhou, Guangxi, conducts random inspections of classroom lighting

Law enforcement officers inspected 11 childcare institutions, 36 kindergartens, and 10 off-campus training institutions. For childcare institutions and nursery institutions, the focus was on checking the direct natural lighting, window-to-floor area ratio, and illumination standard values of children's activity rooms; for off-campus training institutions, the focus was on checking classroom lighting and other conditions.

The inspection found that the lighting conditions of most units were good. However, the installation and setting of fluorescent lamps in classrooms of some units did not meet the requirements of national standards. The height was generally too high, not perpendicular to the blackboard, there was no protective cover, and the distance between the front row and the blackboard was too close. For units with problems, health supervision opinions were issued, ordering them to make rectifications within a time limit, and the local health supervision agencies followed up on the rectification implementation.
