As the Tibetan New Year approaches, walking in the Nadong District of Shannan City, Tibet Autonomous Region, the main roads are quietly dressed up, and the exquisite and eye-catching lights attract many citizens to stop and watch, telling people the joy of the New Year.

According to the director of the office of the Shannan City Management Bureau, in order to create a festive atmosphere, Shannan City planned and acted early, actively carried out urban lighting projects, implemented transformation and upgrading of urban lighting, continuously improved the quality of the city, and made every effort to create a visual feast of colorization, lighting and beautification, making the city beautiful and the New Year atmosphere strong. The lighting work started on February 13th, and was distributed in important sections (Naidong Road, Gongbu Road, Sare Road, Gesang Road, East Section of Zetang Avenue, Hunan Road, Xiangqu West Road, Xiangqu East Road, Bairi Street). So far, the construction of Naidong Road, Xiangqu West Road, Xiangqu East Road, and Hunan East Road has been completed, with an overall progress of 60%, and will be completed before the Tibetan New Year.

As night falls, colorful lights light up one after another, and strings of big red lanterns hang high on the lamp posts on both sides. The warm red halo illuminates the main road. In the sections of Gongbu Road and Minzu Road in the urban area, lights of various shapes such as five-pointed stars, snowflakes, and meteor showers are wrapped around the branches, decorating the streets with colorful colors. A series of colorful city paintings slowly unfold, outlining a beautiful night scene of happiness and peace.
