According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending June 28, 2025, the production of US’ raw steel totaled 1.776 million net tons, decreasing by 0.6% from the same period a week ago while increasing by 4.3% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 79.1%, falling by 0.5 percentage points week on week and rising by 2.49 percentage points year on year.
As of the week ending June 28, 2025, the adjusted year-to-date production of US’ raw steel has amounted to 43.418 million short tons, slightly rising by 0.3% compared to the prior-year level. The capacity utilization rate was 75.9%, a year-on-year drop of 0.3 percentage points.
