Cities carry people's aspirations for a better life. The Urban Management Bureau of Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, has prioritized the transformation and upgrading of refined urban management. Focused on building a refined, livable, vibrant, and ecological city that satisfies the people, it is vigorously promoting the detailed implementation of various air pollution prevention and control measures, painting a beautiful, blue sky and white clouds a "happy background" for the beautiful wine city. The Luzhou Urban Management Bureau's WeChat official account has launched a special column, "City Affairs: Protecting the Blue Sky of the Wine City," documenting the city's efforts to protect blue skies.

Streetlights in Jiangyang District, Luzhou, Sichuan, have been transformed into dust suppression tools

Recently, citizens passing Lianjiang Road noticed a fine mist slowly emanating from the high lampposts on both sides of the road. This ethereal-looking mist is the "smart spray dust suppression equipment" installed by the Jiangyang District Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau. It reduces dust, lowers temperatures, and increases energy efficiency, making it a truly effective tool for combating haze and dust.

To further strengthen air pollution control, continuously improve Jiangyang District's air quality, comprehensively promote coordinated control of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and ozone, and strengthen dust control on key roads, the Jiangyang District Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau has installed six smart dust suppression sprayers since February on Lianjiang Road, Zhongshan Road, Huaguo Road, and Qianjin Road. Each device can control 40 to 80 light poles, each equipped with 20 nozzles. These smart dust suppression devices offer a long-lasting spray effect and wide coverage. They feature timing, pressure adjustment, motor frequency conversion, and PM2.5 detection, enabling remote automated control. This addresses the inefficiency of sprinkler trucks. Furthermore, the devices are primarily installed on streetlight poles, producing a pure, fine mist that does not cause inconvenience to pedestrians. On April 10th, the Jiangyang District urban area's smart dust suppression sprayers completed preliminary acceptance and were gradually commissioned and put into operation.

Next, the Jiangyang District Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau will closely monitor the equipment's performance, collect dust reduction data from different areas, and optimize equipment parameters based on actual feedback. At the same time, we will continue to promote the organic combination of smart spray dust reduction equipment and traditional water sprinkling dust reduction operations, and launch a set of scientific and efficient dust reduction "combination punches" to minimize dust pollution and further improve urban air quality.
