Streetlights, though small, are the brightest "stars" in the urban night sky. They not only illuminate the way home but also warm the hearts of residents. Recently, the Comprehensive Law Enforcement and Safety Supervision Office of Pingwang Town, Wujiang District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, implemented a combination of daytime and nighttime patrols based on the principle of "dividing areas, sections, and procedures" to strengthen grid-based streetlight management. They assigned specific supervisors and maintenance personnel to each streetlight within their jurisdiction. They systematically inspected and recorded all streetlights within the town, promptly repaired and maintained damaged ones, and made every effort to ensure that the streetlights remained operational and lit up.

In response to lighting issues reported by residents, municipal management responded immediately and provided timely feedback on the results. This ensured our service commitment of "minor problems are not addressed overnight, and major problems are repaired the same day." This allowed residents to immediately experience the effectiveness of our service, enhancing their sense of security and satisfaction.

To further ensure the safe operation of lighting facilities, and given the spring's increasing rainfall, strong winds, and significant temperature fluctuations, municipal management posts have increased inspections of streetlight covers, foundations, and cables. If problems such as non-working lights, damaged covers, tilted or loose poles, or exposed cables are discovered, law enforcement and maintenance personnel are immediately dispatched for on-site supervision and repairs.

"We also utilize a 'drone + smart supervision' model to conduct three-dimensional 'air + ground' supervision, further advancing 'Internet + supervision' safeguards. We integrate a nighttime supervision process of 'drone inspections - on-site repairs - and archiving and filing,' and conduct comprehensive, no-blind-angle inspections of streetlights on the town's main and secondary roads, as well as connecting expressways," said a representative from the Municipal Management Post of the Pingwang Town Comprehensive Law Enforcement and Safety Supervision Office.
