This output represented a 1.0% decline from the 1.848 million net tons reported the previous week, when utilization reached 80.0%. However, production was 8.7% higher than the 1.684 million net tons produced during the same week in 2025, when utilization was 75.0%.
Adjusted year-to-date output through April 25, 2026, totaled 29.549 million net tons at a 77.8% utilization rate. This cumulative figure represented a 6.0% rise compared to the 27.888 million net tons produced during the same period in 2025, when the capability utilization rate was at 76.1%.
