According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), US domestic raw steel production reached 1.858 million net tons for the week ending July 25, 2026, achieving a capability utilization rate of 80.5%.

Output increased by 4.9% compared to 1.771 million net tons and a 78.2% rate recorded during the corresponding week in 2025. Production also grew by 1.5% from the previous week ending July 18, 2026, which posted 1.83 million net tons at a 79.3% utilization rate.

Adjusted year-to-date output totaled 53.64 million net tons with a capability utilization rate of 78.9% through July 25, 2026. This reflected a 5.8% rise from 50.713 million net tons and a 77.0% utilization rate over the same period last year.
