The government of the eastern Indian state of Odisha has approved US$97 million worth of steel-related projects. These include a 150,000-ton rolling mill, a 600,000-ton/year pelleting plant, and a coal gasification plant at Konark Ispat Limited with an investment of US$49 million.
ASL Enterprises has received approval from the Odisha government for its US$22 million project to build a 500,000-ton/year rebar facility.
PSPL Steel Processors will build a capacity of 100,000 tons per annum for hot-rolled coil downstream products such as prefabricated structures and products of the Indian Railways.
Khetan Udyog will invest US$7 million to build a downstream steel processing facility for cutting, slitting, blanking, and stamping of steel products.
