British Steel increased the price of part of its products because of high energy prices making production costs higher. One insider said on Tuesday that this leading steel manufacturer in the UK increased its structural steel for construction again after it raised its price in March.
Actually, European heavy industry has gotten into trouble after electricity cost crazily goes up. On Tuesday, the base price of electricity hit its highest point in history. All of these are caused by an export decrease of natural gas from Russia.
European countries are planning how to face the lack of electricity this winter.
