According to UK’s Trade Remedies Authority (TRA)’s interim conclusions of the trade remedy measure on welded tubes and pipes from China, Belarus, and Russia, the authority proposed to reinclude galvanized tubes in products covered by the measure as it has confirmed that this product is produced within the UK.
If the proposal is implemented, it would mean that border tariffs would be imposed on imports of this product, as well as other types of welded tubes and pipes covered by the measure.
The TRA’ will publish its recommendation on October 12 and will be available for 14 days so that interested parties can consider the findings of the investigation. A final recommendation will be submitted to the Secretary of State for International Trade by the TRA then.
