According to the final Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 115,900 tons of steel coils in November last year, rising by 11.7% compared to the previous month but falling by 34% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the imports from Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 65,300 tons, a month-on-month increase of 11% and a year-on-year drop of 22.8%. Other major import sources with volumes of more than 10,000 tons included Mexico (around 19,800 tons) and Germany (around 13,200 tons).
During the period, the import value was approximately US$106 million, up by 7.9% month on month and down by 47.6% year on year.
