Cleveland-Cliffs, Inc., the largest flat-rolled steel producer in North America, expected that its steel shipments will rise by 8.5% to 16 million short tons in 2023 compared to the previous year.
In the fourth quarter of last year, Cleveland-Cliffs’ shipment of steel products totaled 3.84 million short tons, a year-on-year increase of 13%. Among them, hot-rolled coils occupied 34%, hot-dip galvanized steel coils accounted for 29%, 13% was cold-rolled coils, 5% was steel plates, stainless and electrical steel took 5%, and slabs and rails accounted for the residual.
