South Korea’s stainless steel welded pipe exports to US account for big proportion in Jan
According to data from the Korea Iron and Steel Association (KOSA), South Korea’s stainless steel welded pipe exports totaled around 2,800 tons in January this year, growing by 3.3% compared to the year-ago level, showing a recovered demand from overseas markets.
Among them, the exports to the US accounted for a big proportion of 37.3%, totaling around 1,100 tons. Japan ranked second with 520 tons.
In terms of imports, South Korea imported nearly 900 tons of stainless steel welded pipes in January, a year-on-year drop of 1%. The imports were mainly from China, with a total of 815 tons, down by 2.5% year on year.
