According to data from China Iron and Steel Association, in late April, the daily average pig iron output from China’s main steel manufacturers totaled about 2.03 million tons, increasing by 0.41% compared to the middle of April but decreasing by 0.59% year on year.

Meanwhile, the daily average crude steel and steel products’ production amounted to about 2.21 million tons and 2.27 million tons, decreasing by 3.63% and increasing by 3.01% from the middle of April, respectively.

Regarding steel inventories in late April, they decreased by 2.32% from the middle of April and increased by 0.12% from the same period of last year to 18.11 million tons.
