According to data from the US Department of Commerce, the US exported around 804,000 tons of steel in March this year, increasing by 12.7% month on month and 5.1% year on year. Meanwhile, the steel export value was about US$1.4 billion, growing by 13.6% from the previous month.

Among them, Canada imported US steel with around 390,000 tons, increasing by 10.9% month on month and growing by 2.6% year on year. Besides, the exports to Mexico, India, China, the Dominican Republic, the UK, and Brazil were about 363,000 tons, 4,700 tons, 3,400 tons, 2,700 tons, 2,400 tons, and 2,350 tons, respectively.

At the same time, the US’ main steel exports included hot-dip galvanized products (about 122,000 tons), cut-to-length plates (about 105,000 tons), hot-rolled thin plates (about 73,000 tons), cold-rolled thin plates (about 59,000 tons), and flat-rolled steel (about 40,000 tons).
