According to statistics from China Customs, China’s stainless steel imports totaled around 123,000 tons in March, dropping by 34.1% compared to the previous month and by 48.6% from the same month a year ago.

During the period, China’s stainless steel exports, however, decreased by 38.2% month on month and by 8% year on year to 349,000 tons.

Therefore, the net exports were approximately 226,000 tons in March, soaring by 244.3% month on month and up by 6.2% year on year.

In the first quarter of this year, China's stainless steel imports reached 461,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 51.22%. The exports roughly 967,000 tons, down by 8.9% year on year.
