According to data from China’s National Bureau of Statistics, in April, China’s crude steel output totaled about 92.64 million tons, decreasing by 1.5% year on year.
In terms of provinces, Hebei was the leading province to produce crude steel, with nearly 20 million tons. The following provinces were Jiangsu (about 11.33 million tons), Shandong (about 6.37 million tons), and Liaoning (about 6.3 million tons).
In the first four months of this year, China’s crude steel production totaled 354.39 million tons, increasing by 4.1% from the corresponding period of last year.
