According to the report from the Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB), in April, Brazil’s crude steel production hit a record high from last November to reach about 2.77 million tons, increasing by 5.1% month on month but decreasing by 5.9% year on year.
Meanwhile, Brazil’s steel product output increased by 1.3% from the previous month but decreased by 5.7% from the same month of last year to 1.89 million tons.
In the first four months of this year, Brazil’s crude steel output was around 10.58 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.8%.
