JSW Steel, a leading steel manufacturer in India, reported that its crude steel production from its domestic operations totaled around 2.2 million tons in August, rising by 17% compared to the same month a year ago. The output included production from JSW Ispat Special Products Limited, which was merged with JSW Steel in July.
In August, the company’s capacity utilization level averaged at 94.3%, higher than the 87.4% in August last year.
JSW Steel planned to reach an annual production capacity of 37 million tons by the April 2024-March 2025 fiscal year to meet the growing domestic demand.
