According to the report, Mexico's finished steel imports in August increased by 26.4% year on year to 1.21 million tons. On the contrary, the export volume of finished steel products declined by 43.4% year on year to 257,000 tons.

Mexico imported steel products from the US, South Korea, Japan, and China around 375,000 tons, 210,000 tons, 164,000 tons, and 104,000 tons in August, increasing by 16.1%, 10.5%, 10.8% and 23.8% year on year, respectively.
